My English-Learning Journey

This time the article is in English, specifically because it’s about my journey to learn and confidently speak English—at school, university, work, and in everyday conversations.

The repeated use of "English" in the opening paragraph underscores its significance. Firstly, it's a beautiful language. Secondly, its structured nature helps learners grasp it more easily. Finally, nowadays, English is the global language for business and communication.

I began attending English classes in primary school when I was about nine years old, back in the early '90s. These were Saturday classes, and my beloved mom, recognizing the importance of English, always made time to take me there on weekends.

The teacher was awesome and very experienced. She used flashcards and association methods, which helped immensely and motivated me to stick with it from the very beginning. Her pronunciation and enthusiasm for the language fascinated and inspired me.

Later on, I realized I wanted to become a translator and interpreter. Although I wasn’t fortunate enough to get into the linguistic faculty, I graduated from a three-year college with a diploma as an English teacher for primary school.

My work experience began in the early 2000s with private English classes and translations. In 2011, I started my IT career, where English is a must.

Initially, I intended to share my journey as a compelling story, but it turned out more like a resume. Nevertheless, I want to emphasize that learning a foreign language opens many doors in the professional world and various aspects of life, where it can be incredibly beneficial.
